The Beautiful Day I See. November 29th 2014: The blog is back

So I have been gone for quite awhile. A lot has been changing in my life and more (really big! No I'm not pregnant lets stop those rumors before they start lol) changes are just around the corner. I am finally feeling inspired to blog again. I have tried several different things on this blog. For awhile I was doing a photo a day (Which is something I am going to try and do again this year) which I like but I want this blog to be more then just pictures of random things I took because I am trying to take a photo a day. The name of my blog is The Beautiful World I See. I named it this because I really and truly do see the world as a beautiful place. This blog's purpose has always been to share the way I see the world with anyone who cares to read it. I think I have come up with an idea that will help me do that. Will it stick? I honestly don't know. What I do know is that right now it is inspiring me so I am going to start doing it.

So what is this blog going to be like? Well I hope to combine my writing and my photography into one place. I want to tell you about my day and about all the things that I found beautiful in it. Some of these things will have pictures to go along with them and others won't. Hopefully I can make the pictures for those things with my words. Now first I feel it is important to describe my feelings on the word Beautiful because I feel like it's important for you (whoever you are and wherever you come from) to understand where I am coming from when I say it. There seems to be a push in our society today  to define beauty as ascetically pleasing. You'll here people say/write "Your either beautiful or your not. Just like you are either good at soccer or your not." If this is your feeling on beauty then I ask you to please just suspend them while you are here. Understand that for me beauty is in pretty much everything. It is so much more then just pleasing to the eye. We have plenty of words that mean that (Attractive, pretty, etc..) but beauty is different. Beauty is pleasing to the heart and to the soul. Sure sometimes it is something that is also pretty to look at like a sunset, but there is also beauty to be found in a puddle on a sidewalk or in that person (attractive or not) going out of there way to make someone else's day even just a little bit better. The old saying goes "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and I hope that in this blog I can help you see things through my eyes. I hope I can share with you even just a little bit of the beautiful world I see.

Now on with the Blog.

Saturday November 29th was a beautiful day!\
Michael and I got to sleep in a little which is always a treat and then we spent most of the morning just relaxing and spending time together as a couple. This time together is so precious to me that it really doesn't matter what we do during it. I really just love spending time with my amazing husband. We then had a trip to Walmart where Michael did the grocery shopping and I picked up other things. (Michael is a much better grocery shopper then I am because he only buys the things we need and not a bunch of other things that looked like they might be fun to try. He tends to like to do the grocery shopping by himself  and I don't have a problem getting some other things while he does it.) As we were putting the last of our groceries in the car my dad pulled into the Walmart parking lot. He had come to get supplies for our next activity. I loved the timing on that. I mean what were the odds that he would pull up right as we were getting ready to leave? We then hurried home to scan (we are part of the National Consumer Panel) and put away our groceries and finished just in time to head out for...

A cookout at my mom and Dad's house

Uncle Dan and Joanna were visiting for thanksgiving and it was a nice excuse to spend time with them. Plus we made pudgy pies! If you have never been fortunate enough to have a pudgy pie before what they are is two pieces of bread with pretty much anything you can imagine between them. You cook them in these pudgy pie makers on the fire. They are soooo good.

After we had all eaten our fill it was time for Michael and me to say goodbye to each other for a little while. I was going to see my brother with my Aunt and Dad and Michael couldn't come because he had to work later in the afternoon and we wouldn't be back in time. I had a very nice visit with my brother who I have not gotten to see in a very long time. We all got ice cream and did a little shopping and then it was time to make the drive back home (a little over an hour drive). On the way the sun was setting and it made everything so very beautiful. The setting sun would catch on the groups of trees and make the (mostly brown at this point) leaves beautiful shades of oranges and reds. It was amazing.

The rest of the night was spent at my parents house just watching movies with my family waiting for Michael to get back from work. Mom had decorated for Christmas and I spent some time admiring and taking pictures of everything. After Michael got done with work he took me home and we relaxed until we fell asleep.

All in all it was a very wonderful day filled with good food and family. What made your day beautiful yesterday?
